Biography:
Lawrence Wobbrock has been a practicing attorney in Portland, Oregon for more than 30 years. Raised in Oregon, Larry is committed to protecting the civil and judicial rights of all Oregonians. After graduating from the University of Oregon in 1970 he served in the Peace Corps and taught school before obtaining his law degree from the Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark College in 1977.
Larry practices in both state and federal courts. He was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1977 allowing him to practice before all of the courts in Oregon, and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon, the Ninth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, the United States Claims Court and the United States Supreme Court.
Larry was recently elected President of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and is one of only five lawyers in the state to be board certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.
In 2003, Larry was honored by the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA) as the Distinguished Trial Lawyer of the Year, in April 2000 the National Law Journal named him one of the top ten litigators in Oregon and he is listed in the Best
in America. Named Oregon's Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers of America based upon survey of other Oregon Lawyers. He is a past-President of OTLA and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice.
Larry is a frequently requested speaker and lecturer at legal education seminars and events in Oregon and has written and edited numerous legal papers, articles and manuals. He is an adjunct professor at his alma mater, Northwestern School of Law at Lewis & Clark, where he teaches torts and advanced torts.
