Nikki Charlton

Donna EngelmanNikki Charlton is the Nurse Paralegal for Lawrence Wobbrock Trial Lawyer, PC. She received her nursing degree from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington and practiced nursing for many years in various parts of the country. Her specialty was with children’s health and she was the nurse manager for the Neonatal ICU for several years and later the nurse manager of the Pediatric ICU at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane. In addition, she was a member of the neonatal transport team and outreach education program there. As a nurse volunteer, she traveled with Heal the Children to remote areas of Mexico and Guatemala setting up clinics for health screening and care for indigent children. After working as a nurse expert for an attorney on a claim on behalf of an injured child involving a design defect on a ventilator, she became interested in the law. She began work as a nurse consultant and entered law school at Gonzaga University School of Law, graduating in 1991. She practiced in Washington in the area of Medical Negligence and Personal Injury and as a Guardian Ad Litem on behalf of children. Nikki moved to the Portland area and began working with Lawrence Wobbrock Trial Lawyer P.C. in May of 2006. She is responsible for assisting in interviewing clients, reviewing and analyzing medical records, researching different areas of medicine, consulting with expert physicians and case development, including deposition and trial preparation. She attends many workshops and continuing legal education seminars regarding medical-legal issues.
